P/N IQL-1000-125
The Spindle Error Analyzer measures and analyzes real time geometry of machine tool spindles using capacitance gages. Capacitance gaging allows measuring equipment to be readily calibrated and traceable to a national standard. With the Spindle Error Analyzer, spindles are analyzed according to ANSI/ASME B5.54. Capacitance gaging is insensitive to all metal alloy variations, is not affected by variations in target surface texture, and gives accurate results.
Spindle thermal problems can also be readily identified, isolated, and corrected. Spindle warm up time can be determined, increasing productivity. Axial and radial problems which contribute to surface finish problems can be identified.
Locus® eM Measurement & Alignment Software (purchased separately) enhances the Lion Spindle Error Analyzer Software by documenting setup instructions with text or graphics. Locus eM Drift Test feature can be used with the Lion software to perform 5-Gage Drift (TVE) Analysis. Temperature Variation Errors including Spindle Tilt are easily measured and documented.
Note: Measurement of Lathe spindles requires an additional Lathe Adapter (P/N IQL-1100-451) for Probe Nest Mounting.
IQL is an authorized reseller of Lion Precision calibration instruments.
