The LD Measurement Kit enables rapid volumetric performance evaluation of machine tools and CMMs by dramatically simplifying setup when measuring the displacement accuracy of the machine's four body diagonals.
For the measurement of diagonal displacement performance using the Laser Interferometer, the Laser Diagonal Measurement Kit conforms with the ANSI/ASME B5.54 and ANSI/ASME B89.1.12M schematic setup. The Kit includes a 90° Beam Bending Mirror with coarse and fine adjustment, facilitating fast and efficient beam alignment.
Also provided are Laser Mounting Plates, which enable the Laser Head with Interferometer and 90° Beam Bending Mirror to be mounted on the worktable of a two-axis moving table machine. The Laser Mounting Plates may also be used as a low profile tripod. The translation/rotation stage from the Renishaw or Hewlett Packard Laser Tripod is attached to the Laser Mounting Plates using the adapters supplied. The Jack Screws provided with the LD Measurement Kit are attached to the four corners of the Plates, thereby aiding the technician in leveling and aligning the Laser to the axis under test. On very large machines, the Optics may be mounted remotely from the Laser Head.
This Kit is compatible with the Hewlett Packard 5528 Laser System using the 5508 display and HPIB-488 interface. Compatibility with the Renishaw ML10 Laser System requires the Renishaw PCM20 interface.
