Robert (Buz) Callaghan

Robert (Buz) Callaghan is the President and Senior Engineer at Independent Quality Labs, Inc. He has over 40 years experience in precision tool and machine design and metrology. Buz has published numerous papers on the accuracy of CMMs and CNC machine tools. He is an active member of the ASME standard committees: B5.54 "Methods for Performance Evaluation of Computer Numerically Controlled Machining Centers," and B5.57 "Methods for Performance Evaluation of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Lathes and Turning Centers," as well as a supporter of ISO 230 Test code for machine tools. Buz holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Michael Mariani

Michael Mariani is the Marketing and Sales Director at IQL. He is responsible for product and business strategy for the group, with over 21 years of experience in product and channel development for global metrology and manufacturing firms. Michael has special expertise in business strategy, focusing organizations to understand key market drivers and convert that insight into successful product and market initiatives. He earned both his M.B.A. and bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.

Kerry Callaghan

Kerry Callaghan is the Contract Manager and Technical Editor at IQL. She maintains government contract requirements, tests software, creates training presentations, and maintains the corporate website. Kerry has a B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design.

Justin Lebel

Justin Lebel, IQL’s Mechanical Technologist, holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from New England Institute of Technology, focuses on new product design and development. He also has several years experience running both manual and CNC controlled machine tools.

Steven Lord

Steven Lord is a Senior Computer Engineer in Software Development at IQL. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Massachusetts and a M.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Paul Caswell

Paul Caswell is a Senior Software Developer at IQL. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Rhode Island.

Charlotte Gardiner

As IQL’s Office Manager, Charlotte Gardiner, handles everything from bookkeeping to travel arrangements. She is the overall glue that binds our IQL team together.
