About IQL
Overview
IQL specializes in machine tool performance analysis and manufacturing process improvement. The company’s focus is diagnosing and resolving the most challenging feature tolerance issues by measuring and analyzing machine tool behavior. Over time, we have developed a comprehensive knowledge base of machine performance and specific design behavior that is used as the foundation to guide all of our support activities.
IQL offers a variety of machine tool measurement products, evaluation and calibration services, as well as training courses for all levels of engineering and manufacturing personnel. With more than twenty years of experience, IQL is the preferred resource of manufacturers wishing to create and sustain “First Part Correct” manufacturing processes.
IQL also continues to be an active contributor to the development of national and global standards for the characterization of machine tools and inspection equipment: ASME B5.54 (Machining Centers), ASME B5.57 (Lathes & Turning Centers), ASME ISO 230 (Metal Cutting Machine Tools) and ASME B89.1.12 (Coordinate Measuring Machines).

History
IQL (Independent Quality Labs, Inc.) is located in the new Hopkinton Industrial Park in Ashaway, Rhode Island. It was incorporated in 1985 to provide the manufacturing community with the latest technology for measurement of machine tool accuracy. This technology is delivered to our customers with honesty, integrity and dependability. With these simple goals in mind, we have evolved into one of the world’s first corporations to deliver fully integrated machine tool accuracy measurement systems and services.
